Mitchells Plain United(MPU) announced the appointment of Mark Harrison as their new Head Coach to replace David Notoane. Notoane who coached MPU to the Vodacom League Title in 2009/2010 and a 3rd Place finish in the 2010/2011 season has been appointed as assistant coach at Santos FC.

Mark Harrison brings vast experience to the MPU set up. Besides holding a UEFA A Level Coaching License, he has significant coaching experience both in the local PSL and in England after ending his playing career with Stoke City . He was a goalkeeping coach with Everton Football club before taking over as the head coach of the Bangladesh National Team. Last season he was the Head Coach at Mpumalanga Black Aces, taking them to the Nedbank Cup Semi finals stage.

Mark will be ably assisted by Ayyoob Gester, MPU’s long serving assistant manager.
